JCR MEETINGS

JCR meetings are held three times a term, on Sunday afternoons in the Baring Room.

In Hilary 2023 these are W1, W4 and W7.

SUBMIT A MOTION

To submit a motion, fill out a motion template and email or message it to the secretary (jcr-secretary@hertford.ox.ac.uk) by thursday 8pm before the meeting.

This is so all motions can be approved by the oversight committee before they are voted on.

The proposer or seconder must attend the meeting.

ELECTIONS

Elections for committee positions are staggered throughout the year, with executive and senior officer positions elected in Michaelmas Term, and representative or committee positions elected in Hilary and Trinity Terms. Hustings occur at the Sunday meetings, with elections between the Monday-Wednesday of the following week on the Student Union website.

Running for a position is a really great way to get involved in the Hertford community, and a really fulfilling role. You get to advocate for your fellow students at the Student Union and in committee meetings with senior college staff, as well as have a budget to put on fun events.
